What strategy solving tips are there for samurai sudoku?
A good samurai sudoku puzzle will be one that requires you to use information from one puzzle to solve another.
However sometimes you will come across puzzles which appear to be samurai but in fact are not a true samurai puzzle - ones where each puzzle can be solved in isolation.
With a true samurai puzzle, the key to solving will be to use the information in any overlapping regions to help you deduce information about what must go in each of the respective puzzles.
The actual solve rules themselves are the same, in terms of the logical methods such as candidate elimination and all the other familiar rules that you apply to solve.
Most confusion comes when people get confused about which regions (perhaps puzzles) that certain cells are within, meaning they make deductions they are not actually entitled to, so do pay close attention to the overlaps to ensure that what you think is a region really is one.
