How do you solve a barred crossword?
By answering all the clues and writing in the answers in the grid, as with a normal crossword.
You will find with a barred crossword that the clues are usually given as a list of clues based on the row/column the clues refer to with a dot or other separator between each clue - as opposed to having numbered squares in the grid across and down as with a normal crossword.
As usual with a crossword scan the clues to find the easier ones with one possible answer and write these in towards the start of the process.
You should find that as the grid is very tightly crossed then as soon as you start writing in answers this will really help you with the other answers too as many letters will be used in other words too.
