Offset Sudoku

Offset sudoku puzzles are one of the less common sudoku variants, and generally only appear in specialist magazines. We can produce offset sudoku puzzles of different levels:

Offset sudoku is the name given to a sudoku puzzle that takes the number of regions to the next level. As well as each row, column and box requiring the numbers from 1 - 9 to be placed once and once only, another nine regions are added to offset sudoku, giving you even more to check whilst trying to solve the puzzle.

In offset sudoku, each position within a 3 x 3 box is also significant. The first cell in each of the nine boxes must also each contain the numbers from 1 - 9 once only. And so on for each position of cell within each 9 x 9 box: every position within each 3 x 3 box must contain the numbers from 1 - 9 once only. There is a lot to remember and cross-reference, and remembering this makes this a tricky sudoku variant puzzle, but fun once you get the hang of it!
