Toroidal Sudoku is one of the more unusual variants of sudoku out there, and may be unfamiliar to many. Therefore it is ideal if you are looking for a puzzle that is a little novel or different for your publication.
The basics of toroidal sudoku are the same - the rows and columns must contain the numbers specified once and once only, but the twist is the standard box shapes are changed. In fact, these extra regions in the sudoku puzzle don't even need to be continuous! They can wrap around the top, bottom, left and right of the puzzle, and therefore a keen eye is required to solve this fun variant puzzle.
You can see in the image to the right that here there are six coloured regions, and three of them wrap off the top of the puzzle.
