Word Square Puzzle
The word square puzzle is a fun and addictive little puzzle. For an example of a complete grid, please see the image on the right of the page.
It is like a mini-crossword but with a difference - the same words read across and down! That means that one across is also one down, and so forth, so you quickly fill the grid as you go along.
Word square puzzles are available in a variety of sizes, the most popular being 3x3 through to 5x5 puzzles. The puzzles are made harder through the words that are placed both in the word square and also the clues themselves.
Word square puzzles can make an ideal children's puzzle with simple words and their smaller size relative to a crossword puzzle; of course they can also be made larger and trickier for an adult audience.
