World Sudoku Championships 2013
The World Sudoku Championships for 2013 took place in October in Beijing.This was the eighth time that the tournament has been run. It occurs at the same time of year as the world puzzle championship, which you can read more about in the article on the WPC in this section of the site.
The winner of the event this year was Jin Ce from China, with Kota Morinishi and Jakub Ondoursek in second and third places respectively.
In addition to classic sudokus, the tournament also involved the solving of various Sudoku-related variants, both known and less-well known.
For the UK, the top finishers in the World Sudoku Championships for 2013 were as follows:
Tom Collyer
Neil Zussman
Mark Goodliffe
Heather Golding
There was also a team competition, which was won by the China A team.
