Kings Journey Game

The Kings Journey puzzle is played on a grid of varying sizes, and you must work out how the king moves from the first square to the last square of his journey, which are numbered. Various steps along the way are numbered, and you must arrive at these in turn.
For instance, if a square has the number '5' in it, this must be the fifth square the king visits. Your task is to retrace the king's path, bearing in mind that he can move only one square at a time, in any direction (vertically, horizontally, or diagonally). He must only visit each square once. Can you work out the king's journey from the first to the last square (here denoted in pink), visiting each of the green cells at the required stage?
Because of the way the king moves, in this example we know that the number '3', corresponding to the third move of the king, must be in either cell 2 or cell 8 of this 7x7 puzzle. We can place '25' straight away, as it must go to the right of the square numbered 24 as there is no other way to connect 24 and 26. There is one unique solution to each puzzle that can be worked out through logic alone (no guessing required).
