Noughts & Crosses Puzzles
Welcome to this fantastic collection of brain-teasing Japanese puzzles: noughts and crosses. The book includes 100 puzzles of varying difficulty, all of which can be solved logically. Instructions on how to solve the puzzles are included within the book, including additional rules for the hardest puzzles. In order to solve the puzzles, the solver will be required to place noughts (O) and crosses (X) in each row and column of the grid, so that there will be the same number of noughts and crosses in each of the grid's rows and columns. The same symbol cannot occur in more than two consecutive squares, either horizontally or vertically. Therefore, as an example, OOO is invalid but OOX is fine. The puzzles are grouped according to difficulty level: easy (30 puzzles), medium (35 puzzles), hard (15 puzzles), and very hard (20 puzzles). Each puzzle type has its own grid size: therefore, the easy puzzles are contained in 6x6 grids, the medium puzzles in 8x8 grids and the hard and very hard puzzles in 10x10 grids. Solutions are included at the back of the book for the solver to check their answers.
