Pattern Recognition Puzzles
There are a wide range of pattern recognition puzzles and they are perennial favourites in a variety of puzzle books and publications.They tend to either be mathematical and involve spotting a pattern in a mathematical sequence of some form, or alternatively visual, where you must spot what change is happening each time and therefore predict which type of shape / set of colours comes next in the sequence, and why.
Here are a couple of mathematical pattern recognition puzzle: can you find the next term?

- 2, 5, 7, 12, 19, ???
Here is a very simple example of a visual pattern recognition puzzle. Can you draw the shape that must appear in the bottom right of this set of squares to complete the pattern?
