The I Book of Number Puzzles
Welcome to the official I Book of Number Puzzles. There are 100 puzzles included within the book, and they have been specially curated by the creators of the I puzzle page, for existing fans as well as for new fans. The number puzzles within the book include calcudoku, mental maths, kakuro, number hexagon, maths puzzle, symbols of value and wijuko. To solve a maths puzzle, the solver is required to fill the empty squares with numbers that will make the across and down calculations produce the results shown in the grey squares, and each number from 1 – 9 must appear only once. In a symbols of value puzzle, each shape represents a positive whole number from 1 – 10. The sum total of the shapes in each row / column is displayed at the end of each row / column. The solver is required to use this knowledge to work out the numerical value of each shape. To solve a wijuko puzzle, the solver is required to place the numbers 1 – 9 once in the grid, obeying the sums between the pairs of squares. To solve a calcudoku puzzle, the solver is required to place the numbers 1 – 6 once in each row and column, obeying the sums in bold-lined regions. To solve a kakuro puzzle, the solver is required to fill the white squares so that the total in each across or down run of cells matches the total at the start of that run. In a number hexagon puzzle, each hexagon is divided into six triangles, and the sum of these six triangles is always 26. The solver is required to place a number from 1 – 9 in each empty triangle to complete the puzzle, and they cannot repeat a number within a hexagon. Solutions are included at the back of the book for the solver to check their answers.
