Brilliant Battleships
Welcome to this fantastic collection of 100 battleships puzzles. The book contains a range of easy, medium and hard battleships puzzles for the solver to complete. Battleships are a logic-based puzzle in which the solver is required to work out the location of a fleet of ships of different lengths in the grid. Each puzzle shows the fleet of ships that are required to be found in the grid. One ship fills four squares, two ships fill three squares, three ships fill two squares and four ships occupy a single square. Ships may be placed either horizontally or vertically in the grid. No segment of a ship may touch a segment from any other ship horizontally, vertically or diagonally. To help the solver get started, some ship segments may be revealed in the start grid. The solver is required to locate the position of each of the ships that are listed. Numbers around the edge of the grid will reveal the number of ship segments in each row and column of the puzzle. Ships are surrounded on all sides by water. Solutions are included at the back of the book.
