Minesweeper is a classic logic puzzle.

Many people are very familiar with a version of minesweeper due to playing the game on their computer as one of the free games that comes with Windows PCs.

In a minesweeper puzzle some cells have a number in and this indicates the number of mines that surround the cell in the eight cells immediately around the given cell.

Thus a '4' means that four cells around that cell contain a mine.

The key is to work out which squares are safe and identify the location of all the mines to solve the puzzle successfully.
