What is an ABC puzzle?

An ABC puzzle is not actually a word puzzle as the name may imply.

Rather it is a logic puzzle.

The aim is to put the letters A,B,C into each row and column exactly once. This idea is familiar from puzzles like sudoku where numbers must appear once per region.

In the A,B,C puzzle there are also blanks.

Normally there are two per region so it is a 5x5 puzzle.

Around the outside of the grid some letters will be placed, and these indicate which letter comes first in that region.

These are the key to solving the puzzle.
