What is Greek Latin sudoku?

Greek Latin sudoku is a variant of sudoku that is sometimes published under the name of JigsawDoku (confusingly since that is more commonly used with jigsaw sudoku or irregular sudoku).

In this puzzle the aim is to place 1 - n in each region of the puzzle AND ALSO a - z in each region of the puzzle, depending on the dimensions.

A typical size for this puzzle is a 5x5 puzzle, and so we would need to place 1 - 5 and A - E in each region of the puzzle in this instance, which is typically composed of rows and columns.

In addition each combination from A1 through to E5 must appear exactly once in the puzzle.
