What are the rules of Kakuro?

The rules of kakuro are to obey the numbers that are given at the start of each run, either horizontal or vertical.

Each of these set of cells is called run, and the total given determines the sum of those cells.

Thus if you see 17 next to a run of two cells, then you know that they add up to 17.

Each number can only be placed once in each run, so for instance if you have 18 to make from two cells then it cannot be 9,9.
