What strategy tips are there for solving Greek Latin sudoku?
When it comes to solving Greek / Latin sudoku, then the first thing to do is to try and apply usual sudoku rules to first the letters and then the numbers, or vice versa.
Once you have done that, it is time to look at the interplay of the letters and numbers.
Quite often with these puzzles you will have to spot that there is only one place a particular combination can go, say B1, and since each combination must appear exactly once in the puzzle, then it must be placed there.
Sometimes you need more subtle logic: let's say you know that B3 must be placed in a particular row of the puzzle but you are not sure why. Still, since you know that one of those must be B3, then any other cell in the puzzle not in the given row that you know to contain a B but are uncertain about the number may have the 3 eliminated. This can unlock further possible progress in many cases.
