Variety Sudoku
Welcome to this collection of 100 sudoku variants. The sudoku puzzles that feature in this book include circle sudoku, jigsaw sudoku, killer sudoku, arrowdoku, hypersudoku, supreme sudoku and full page samurai sudoku. To solve circle sudoku puzzles, the solver must place each number from 1 – 8 exactly once in each of the eight concentric circles that comprise the puzzle. To solve jigsaw sudoku puzzles, the solver must place each number from 1 – 9 exactly once in each row, column and jigsaw region. There are nine jigsaw regions in each puzzle, with nine cells in each region. To solve samurai sudoku puzzles, the solver must place the numbers from 1 – 9 once in every row, column and bold-lined 3x3 box that comprise the 13 overlapping grids in these puzzles. To solve hypersudoku puzzles, the solver must place the numbers 1 – 9 once in each row, column and 3x3 box, as well as in the four grey boxes. Arrowdoku puzzles can be solved by applying the same rules as standard sudoku, but the cells placed along the body of an arrow sum to the number given in the circled cell at the start of that arrow. To solve calcudoku puzzles, the solver must place the numbers from 1 – 6 once in each row and column, and obey the sums in the bold-lined regions. To solve supreme sudoku puzzles, the solver must place each number from 1 – 15 exactly once in each row, column and 5x3 bold-lined box that comprise the grid. The standard rules of sudoku apply to killer sudoku puzzles. Solutions for all of the puzzles can be found at the back of the book for the solver to check their answers.
