Hard Noughts & Crosses Puzzles
Welcome to this fantastic collection of brain teasing Japanese puzzles. There are 100 puzzles included within the book of varying levels of difficulty. There are 50 14x14 grids and 50 16x16 grids inside the book. The 16x16 grids are more challenging than the 14x14 grids. To solve these puzzles, the solver is required to place noughts (O) and crosses (X) in each row and column of the grid, so that there are the same number of noughts and crosses in each of the rows and columns in the grid. In a noughts and crosses grid, the same symbol cannot occur in more than two consecutive squares either horizontally or vertically. Therefore, OOO would be invalid, whereas OOX would be fine. All of the puzzles in the book can be solved by applying logic, meaning that there is no need to guess. Solutions for all of the puzzles are included at the back of the book.
